Loma Farm/Farm Club is hiring for a full-time farm position. A minimum of 1 year on a vegetable production farm is required. This is a seasonal position, with the potential for year round employment.

Fulltime Pay: $17-$19

Employees are expected to arrive to work on time, dressed appropriately and ready to work at their scheduled start time.  Attention to detail, work efficiency and respect for coworkers, land and infrastructure is expected at all times. We work in all weather conditions.

Requirements:

• Impeccable attendance

• Minimum of 1 year of experience on a vegetable production farm

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, work in all weather conditions, stoop, kneel, bend and perform all aspects of general farm labor.

• High standards of organization.

• Strong work ethic.

Duties Include: 

All farmers participate in every aspect of working on a diverse vegetable farm, including:

• Weeding, thinning, planting and harvesting.

• Irrigation set up, electric fencing, row cover, and ground cover.

• Washing and packing produce. 

• Mowing and weed whipping.

• Cleaning and maintenance of interior and exterior spaces on farm.

• Clearing brush, picking rocks, and removal of non-native plant species.

• Landscaping projects and general land maintenance of Farm Club property.

• Attend daily morning meetings.

• Other duties as assigned.

Farm Club is a farm, restaurant, brewery, marketplace and bakery in Traverse City. We grow, cook, process and brew food from our farm and from other farms in Michigan. We farm following organic practices and hold close a deep reverence for the land and agricultural heritage, and a love of high quality produce.
