Farmland protected through the Leelanau Conservancy helps sustain the region’s agricultural heritage, scenic character, and local economy. These conserved lands remain available for farming, supporting local food production and preserving soil and water quality. As development pressures rise and climate conditions shift, permanently protected farmland provides long-term stability for both farmers and the Leelanau community.

Lindsay is an illustrator and author whose watercolor and gouache illustrations have appeared in cookbooks and editorial projects, advertising campaigns, and stationery and interior design collaborations. Her first book, Why We Cook: Women on Food, Identity, and Connection was published by Workman Publishing.
